Town to face Bayern II in pre-season

SWINDON Town will play a friendly against Bayern Munich II during their pre-season tour of Italy.

The game will take place in Molveno on July 11 kicking off at 5.30pm.

The four-time European champion's feeder club play in the fourth tier of German football, and has seen the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Phillip Lahm progress through the system to become international stars.

Shame this isn't a home game, sell out or what !!!!

Shows a bit more ambition and confidence opposed to the "local" teams we played in Italy last year. We have come a long way since then, and we have Paolo and Jeremy to thank for that.

I wouldn't get to excited. Bayern Munich II play in the 4th tier (Regionaliga South) and finished the season in 14th position. That's the same as playing Accrington Stanley!!! lol
