‘Is this sick patient bound for a coffin?’

Living in the Midlands I am viewing things from some distance but share the regular fans frustration at the events happening off the football field.

Through all the recent financial shenanigans there is now a danger that the latest takeover is in jeopardy....why?

There is clearly something historical that is not being revealed which is preventing potential investors committing to the club.

Although only an occasional supporter now but still a keen fan, I have to ask what on earth is happening at the club I have followed for 40-plus years?

This sick patient, and it seems very sick, is promised medication to stave off the illness only to have it withdrawn because it is not apparently suitable.

If I wasn't the eternal optimist I would be saying never mind a new manager, is the club bound for a coffin?

But that apart, other than those desperate for work, what football manager/coach of any note is going to want to come to a club that appears terminally ill?

I am quite sure that our last two managers names have been responsible for the increase in gate sizes.

The final issue for me is why Bob Holt is the permanent spokesperson?

Where is the chairman through all this? Is there no sense of responsibility on his part?

The silence is deafening!

M Cowley.
