'Super Sammy' does trick to hold Leeds

A dramatic injury-time equaliser from former Town striker Sam Parkin earned Luton a point as they held Leeds to a 1-1 draw at Kenilworth Road.

Parkin headed home a cross from Dean Morgan in the third minute of injury-time to cancel out Paul Huntington's 25th-minute opener.

Luton remain second bottom in the Coca-Cola League One table - five points from safety - while Leeds climb up to fifth place.

Bournemouth boosted their survival hopes with a 3-1 away win over bottom side Port Vale.

Cherries striker Sam Vokes broke the deadlock in the 10th minute and midfielder Danny Hollands doubled the advantage in the 28th minute.

George Pilkington pulled one back for Vale in the 49th minute but Shaun Cooper sealed victory with Bournemouth's third six minutes from time.

Walsall moved up to fourth in the table with a 2-1 victory over Gillingham at the Bescot Stadium.

Another former Swindon frontman, Tommy Mooney, headed a Troy Deeney cross past Gills goalkeeper Derek Stillie in the 28th minute and Edrissa Sonko added a second in the 72nd minute.

Andrew Crofts pulled a goal back with a superb 30-yard strike which flew into the top-right corner of the net in injury-time but the Saddlers held on.

Tranmere kept their play-off hopes alive with a 2-1 win over 10-man Yeovil at Prenton Park.

Calvin Zola opened the scoring in the fourth minute after he latched on to Shane Sherriff's cross to stab the ball home.

Lloyd Owusu crossed for Andy Kirk as the visitors equalised in the 51st minute but Rovers were back in front after Scott Guyett was brought down Zola in the penalty area 10 minutes later.

Jennison Myrie-Williams stepped up to take the resulting spot-kick and calmly slotted the ball past Yeovil goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall.

Marc Bircham was shown a second yellow card in the 71st minute as Ronnie Moore's side eased to victory.
