SWINDON TOWN: Town to face Oxford in JPT first round

SWINDON Town have been drawn away to Oxford in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

The Robins will be hoping to gain revenge over their fierce local rivals for the two defeats suffered against the U's in League Two last season.

The match will take place at the Kassam Stadium during the week beginning Monday, September 3.

Hope they behave better than last time, wasn't there but there were some pretty bad experiences for some of our fans, with missiles etc being thrown.

We should put our squad members in for this one. OK, we don't want to lose to the Pox, but there is already talk of too many fixtures. Oh, has anyone had trouble getting on to the Town site? I can't open it. I would ring someone but don't know a number.

I would be surprised if Oxford restricted our tickets again. Surely they need the money too and this time I cant see a full house for them for an evening jpt game but who knows...

i think in cup games the away allocation has to be more, maybe between 15% and 25%. But not sure about JPT. hope i am right

HAHAHA!!! Brilliant draw....shame it wasn't at the CG.....stadiums with 4 sides just seem to have a better atmosphere ;-) I trust season ticket holders will get first dibs!!! Would love to witness us get our own back!!! COYR's.......

Allocation will apparently be around 1750 so should sell out our allocation even though it's a midweek one (cant go myself as looking at the train times couldn't guarantee getting home).

Would be nice to get revenge for last season but have to remember it's just the JPT. Wouldn't be the end of the world if we didn't.
