RONAN Murray jumped at the chance to return to Swindon, with the Ipswich striker back at the club for the remainder of the season.
The Robins had an offer rejected earlier this week to sign Murray permanently and instead the Irishman has agreed a one-year-deal with the Tractor Boys.
But Ipswich boss Paul Jewell was happy to let Murray return to SN1 on loan, and the striker is delighted to have extended his stay.
He said: "I really enjoyed my time at Swindon and when the manager here [Paul Jewell] said that they were happy for me to go back there on loan for the rest of the season, I jumped at the opportunity.
"It's been great to be involved down there week after week and that's what I need at this stage of my career.
"Swindon are in a good position in the league and hopefully I can play my part in taking the club up. There are also some big cup games coming up, in the FA Cup and in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy so it's an exciting time."
