Murray back for the season

First published in Headlines by

RONAN Murray jumped at the chance to return to Swindon, with the Ipswich striker back at the club for the remainder of the season.

The Robins had an offer rejected earlier this week to sign Murray permanently and instead the Irishman has agreed a one-year-deal with the Tractor Boys.

But Ipswich boss Paul Jewell was happy to let Murray return to SN1 on loan, and the striker is delighted to have extended his stay.

He said: "I really enjoyed my time at Swindon and when the manager here [Paul Jewell] said that they were happy for me to go back there on loan for the rest of the season, I jumped at the opportunity.

"It's been great to be involved down there week after week and that's what I need at this stage of my career.

"Swindon are in a good position in the league and hopefully I can play my part in taking the club up. There are also some big cup games coming up, in the FA Cup and in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy so it's an exciting time."

We may be playing Ipswich next season in league 1? But if not next season maybe the season after in the Championship. I'm buying my ticket for Leicester I'm Monday, what are the odds that we will take our full allocation of 5,000?

Very pleased to get him back. I guess there will be some moves out now. Mehdi must be on his way and I suspect that Billy will be going out on loan again. If Constable signs then not sure Magera will want to stay because he will not be getting much game time. However Paolo has talked about 5 strikers so he may see DeVita as wide man and we may see Easyjet going. No one will be able to blame the Board for lack of commitment.

Bring back kerrouche too!! Mehdi, grow a backbone and sort the attitude out. Paulo give the lad anotger chance. Why go out spending when this lad gas as good a record as constable for example?

Better record in fact - Kerrouche 8 goals in 18 games (many as sub); PC Plod 9 goals in 28 games (most as starts)

Someone has got to start a run of goals from benson, magera, murray, bodin, connell (in fairness on fire!) and kerrouche...do we need another striker??
