This whole story has already caused enough trouble, it gave fans from other teams the chance to come on here and stir up trouble, it gave the anti PDC / J Wray brigade all of the ammo they needed to justify their arguments, and more importantly and rather sadly with it being such a sensitive subject it turned REAL Swindon fans on each other and the club. Dragging it up again will serve no purpose other than allowing those that want to cause trouble a platform to do so, it will also destroy the 'feel good' factor that had replaced all of the nonsense. In the main I think REAL Swindon fans have agreed that there is no need to disect this story any more, it has run it's course, and unless there is a significant change i.e. a contract actually being offered then there is little or no point in discussing it. SM is either a complete fool who has not bothered looking into the effect this story has had already, or he as no alligience to the Club that he is making o living off by being allowed to report on them. I ask all Swindon fans to treat this artical with the contempt it deserves, we may not be able to comment on the other artical...but we can use this one to discuss the things we want to....like future signings etc. Lets ignore those that try causing trouble either because they follow other clubs or because they have an axe to grind....It's our club...and like it or not SM...it's our notice board.

Now.....on to more important things, after yesterdays Tweet by a certain Mr Navarro how likely do you think it is we will get him, and do you think this is the type of signing we need?

    COYR's
Mr Morshead is employed by the Adver, not the Football Club. The fact that the Football Club or your condescending REAL fans want to see this storey disected anymore is immaterial. This is a newsworthy storey which should be brought to the fore. Thankfully we still have freedom of speech.
If Morshead continues in this vein how long is it do you think before The Club stop inviting him along and making him welcome. More to the point how long will it be before Wray tires of his "creative journalism". You state that Wray is stupid, well he is a self made multi millionare, and he took over this club with others.
His enlightened outlook on life and society as a whole is above what many can comprehend, but despite his wealth he has taken the view to help rehabilitate others who have been less fortunate in lifes circumstances. I think the guy is brilliant for what he is trying to do, and don't forget he was asked by the authorities to help this man as they saw him as something of a pillar of the community. I'd rather one J.Wray than a dozen others.
Perhaps you can explain your interpretation of how Wray is stupid, and how Morshead, just a few weeks into his job, is so good, because so far very few can see your point, if there is one.
Well said Wizard!!! As I stated this person simply has an axe to grind or is simply not a STFC fan. As for J Wray...Wish I was that stupid........;-)
Do you not think he could be an OU fan in disguise, that Yellow Hoods bloke was here not so long back stirring it or the PMSL bloke, oh yeh, OBU , or was he in Star Trek ? maybe this bloke is from another planet, who knows, who cares ? All said in jest I hasten to add, and as goes J Wray, I now think there is a steady line forming outside his office for lessons in stupidity, bring it on.
Would you like me to save you a place ??
Yes please!!!.... Try to get a good spot mind!!!...
You called me an Oxford troll on here last week and I will hunt you down for that, as I am STFC born and bred.

What a dick you are, mind your back!!
Who you threatening sunshine? Is that aimed at me?
That's what I'd like to know....JB lets not be a key board warrior, whats your problem?"

SWINDON TOWN: McCormick spotted at the County Ground

Luke McCormick Luke McCormick

LUKE McCormick arrived at Swindon Town as a free man for the first time on Wednesday to meet with the club ahead of his proposed pre-season training spell with the Robins.

The goalkeeper, who was released from Leyhill Open Prison last week after serving half his seven-year and four-month sentence for causing death by dangerous driving and driving with excess alcohol in 2008, attended the meeting with club officials alongside an advisor - spending around two hours inside the County Ground.

A national newspaper yesterday claimed that McCormick is “set to resume his playing career with League One Swindon Town” but, while he will join in with training, the former Plymouth stopper is not expected to sign a professional deal with the club.

The Advertiser was not able to contact Swindon’s interim chairman Jeremy Wray yesterday for comment on the meeting, but Wray has previously stated that he does not expect to see McCormick earn a contract in Wiltshire.

Speaking on May 24, he said: “It’s one step at a time, it’s a long, long way from saying that he’s anywhere near going back to restarting a career as a professional footballer.

“This is someone who has served his time and is now looking to reintegrate and be rehabilitated into society and he goes back into the profession he was in before.

“We can help by offering to help him train and rebuild his life and hopefully help him give something back.”

Meanwhile, Swindon have been handed a home draw against Brighton in the first round of next season’s Capital One Cup.

The clash with Gus Poyet’s Seagulls in the newly rebranded League Cup will take place on August 14, with a 7.45pm kick-off, and the match will be screened live on Sky Sports.
