The point is not that he took connell off and left Murray on, it is that they murdered the opposition and created chances and if you have no chances you don't score. That's his mantra and its done well til now or would you disagree? And its the Boleyn ground and connell missed some easy chances.
Thank God you said this, i couldn't even be bothered to start! People maybe need to go home, pop on teletext, look at the table and other results around us and realise it isn't all that bad. I can think of 23 other teams in our league who would like to be as bad as we are. Only thing i can add is that possibly signing Holmes worries me - no pace, no trick and expect him to demand far too much a week for his services. Perhaps i will be proven wrong.
See the Kiwis are still light years behind civilisation then - Teletext lol!!
can those gas t.vs cant get corrie yet?.
    onwards and upwards"

Di Canio - My players were lions

PAOLO Di Canio took heart from Swindon's performance against Bristol Rovers, despite the Robins being held to a goalless draw.

Town had plenty of huff and puff but were unable to find a way past Rovers' keeper Scott Bevan.

Alan Connell hit the underside of the crossbar in the first half while substitute Paul Benson headed just wide of goal.

The draw brought to an end an impressive winning run in league on home soil, but Di Canio believes more performances like today's will ensure Swindon win more than they lose before the season is out.

"We had 11 lions out there with discipline and desire," he said.

"It was a fantastic game, but we just couldn't keep it going for 95 minutes.

"I am happy, but I would have been happier with the three points.

"We can't win every game but we are talking about a team who are top of the league with games in hand."
