Very sad to see Simon go, but it was inevitable wasn't it.
In little over 18 months Simon has become a legend at the County Ground, probably even surpassing the great Super Sammy Parkin.
I wish Simon all the best for the future !

SIMON Cox's £2million transfer to West Bromwich Albion moved a step closer today as new Baggies' boss Roberto Di Matteo confirmed he was happy for the deal to go ahead.

Di Matteo, who was unveiled at a press conference at the Hawthorns this morning, claimed he was both aware of the deal and an admirer of Town's 32-goal hitman. Cox has agreed terms with West Brom and will complete a medical early next week.

"I am aware of the deal and that we have agreed terms," said Di Matteo.

"The player will be coming in next week for a medical.

"He is a very good player, has a very good scoring record and I am happy for the deal to go ahead."

Meanwhile, Town are believed to be in talks with former Hibernian winger Alan O'Brien about a switch to the County Ground.
