BREAKING NEWS: Tudur-Jones signs on

TOWN have confirmed the signing of midfielder Owain Tudur-Jones on an initial month-long loan.

As revealed exclusively by the Advertiser this morning, the 24-year-old Swansea man has signed on at the County Ground and should make his debut tomorrow at Colchester.

Swindon boss Danny Wilson admitted he was delighted to get his man, and said: "Owain has got good experience for a young boy and played plenty of games for Swansea as they won promotion from this league last season.

"He's been a bit frustrated over there so we've given him the opportunity to play some games."

  • See tomorrow's Swindon Advertiser for interviews with Danny Wilson and Owain Tudur-Jones.

Good stuff. I don't know anything about him, but look forward to seeing him in action tomorrow.

andy king tried to sign him for us a few seasons ago but he chose swansea over us. He's a good player, hopefully better than what we've already got in that area

good news, the lads 6 foot 4 so will hopefully bring a presence to our midfield and although its stating he has international apps (last game was a sub in the last 2mins v Denmark) i imagine he can only be a good influence on the side.

Yes this is excellent news, he is a quality player. Having seen him in action for the Swans he should be a first team regular for us. Hopefully he'll stay injury free for us and add some stability to the midfield.

Mark my words - He's a good player.

Fair play to Wilson, asuming that Tudor Jones plays to his potential thats 3 quailty loan signings.

And thats what its about - Quality not quanity or speed. Anyone could have gone out and signed us some loan players, but they need to be significantly better than what we have ton make it worthwhile.

well i reckon that is a good signing, hopefully not for a month but till the end of the season, got money on with the leeds scum, that we will avoid the drop, (i hope) they giving me sxxt that they will hammer us, so come on you reds i got faith in you.

Crucial games to come after Leeds game against likes of Yeovil,Brighton,Crew
e,Leyton Orient,if we are to have any hope at all of staying up we have to win them all.I doubt that on his own Tudor-Jones can improve our terrible record against lower end of table rivals. He is a quality player though so hopefully he can make some difference.

Tite_Fitt, A13, Essex says...

Well done Danny W.... OTJ looks like another good signing! However, please don't give up on your search for a striker Danny. We desperately need one to give us more of an edge up front and to start converting some of those missed chances into goals!

We are staying up!

Totally agree Tite_Fitt one more striker and we have the makings of a good side.

The next key DW is to persuade AF to turn the temporery signings into permanent ones once we've stayed up.

I really believe the changes DW has made are crucial. I think we;ve sorted out the back four, clean sheets to come, which will keep us up.

As I siad yesterday, Cox is still a class player and the ball will go in!

Keep the faith.

Good news Danny, now we need a decent striker, get feeling we have left this a little late still who knw´s we just might survive but we need 2 decent results over the next 2 games, the proof will be in the pudding.
2 draws would do then win our home games

good luck tomorrow night"REDS"

Welcome Owain. Straight in at Colchester is the plan so who would like to guess at the other ten to start with him ? I`ll guess at Smithy, Ifil and Marshall/Razak being on the bench for a start.

GK Brezovan
RB Jack Smith (if not fit Amankwaah)
CB Morrison
CB Greer (c)
LB Vincent
RM Amankwaah (McNammee if Smith is not fit)
CM Timlin
CM Tuder Jones
LM Kanu
CF Cox
CF Paynter

Hopefully only OTJ has to come in but i think that Macca will be dropped if Smith is fit, particularly i a crucial away game.

so would I. However, i think wilson will go with smith if he is fit anyway (even though kevin is better than smith at right back and a poor winger imo)

I think Im right, Andy King tried to sign him when he was here but he chose Swansea.People may not of liked Andy King but he could usually spot a good play.
Hope it works out for him & us.

was he good against TRANMERE-H/POOL-CHEL
TENHAM? NO. one good game out off 4 or 5 does not make him a good player..BPis a div2 player at best.
