Sofi was wrong to rant on the pitch

I AM not going to stick up for anyone over Sofiene Zaaboub's reaction to being substituted in Tuesday's reserve game.
It should not go on and I believe if a manager, at whatever level, substitutes you you have to take it on the chin.
I have been subbed or left out of the team enough times in my career but the touchline is certainly not the place to air your grievances.
Sofi's reaction was wrong, it was not nice for anyone to see, for the players, the management or even the crowd. I am sure the management will sort it internally.
Saying that though I have seen far worse than that during my career. I have seen some full-blown punch ups on the training pitch and it is never nice to witness.
Going on to the happier subjects I thought Saturday's performance against Carlisle was a fantastic display from the lads and showed that we are building things here.
Even though we only drew the game there were a lot of positives to take out of it and I don't think anyone will argue that we were good value for the win.
The lads showed great attitude and application and if we can carry that into the rest of the season we will be all right. They say you sometimes don't get what you deserve in football.
I would also like to wish Christian Roberts a speedy recovery. It looks as though he could be out for some time and, speaking from experience, it becomes a mental thing.
If you start thinking about how many months you are going to be out for it is very difficult to cope with and so the best thing to do is to concentrate on doing the things you can.
I worked hard on improving my upper body, which I perhaps had not been able to do during the rest of my career. I would like to think I am mentally tough and I am sure Christian will be as well.
I am one of those players who still wanted to be involved even though I could not play. I wanted to keep myself busy so I went to all the home games and travelled to the away ones.
Everyone is different though and however Christian deals with the injury will be the best thing for him.
At the moment I can't believe all the fuss about the lunge tackle. It seems there is always something in the game the authorities feel they have to clamp down.
A few years ago it was the elbow now it is the tackle. Don't get me wrong it is sickening to see anyone get seriously hurt in a tackle but 99.9 per cent of tackles are never made with malice.
We are all part of the same union and no one wants to hurt anyone.
If things carry on though there will be no contact left in football and that is not for me.
