Cheltenham was two points dropped for us
Club skipper Ady Williams talks about the draw at Cheltenham, the transfer window and Town's hopes of the play-offs!
SATURDAY was definitely two points dropped for us. I thought we were in complete control of the game and once we scored I didn't see any way back for Cheltenham.
The gaffer was disappointed afterwards but we've gone three games unbeaten now and there are plenty of positives we can take.
Blair, pictured, had one of his best games since he's been at the club at Cheltenham.
He worked so hard for the team and he really deserved his goal.
Blair always runs himself into the ground for the team and his work does not go unappreciated.
The gaffer usually brings him off with 15 minutes to go, but that is only because he is so tired from all the running.
He got a standing ovation from the travelling Swindon fans and he really deserved it.
Strikers live and die by their goals and it was really good to see him get on the scoresheet.
We're only a couple of days before the transfer window closes now and it's no secret that we are trying to sign another striker.
But Barry Corr is now back in training and when he's fully fit it will be like a new signing for us.
With Lee Peacock doing so well and Blair grabbing his goal I don't think we're as short as some people are suggesting in that department.
I know Paul still wants to bring a few people in but he's not going to just buy somebody for the sake of it.
Some of the younger managers might be forced into panic buys this close to the transfer deadline, but that's not clever from a financial point of view.
I look around the squad at the training ground and I can see quality in every department.
Some of the reserve team players are looking very strong and that is putting a lot of pressure on the rest of the lads.
I don't see this season as one of consolidation.
If the manager is given some more money to spend I don't see any reason why we can't push for a play-off place.
I do read the papers and I've been keeping a close eye on the situation off the field.
But hand on heart I can honestly say that the players are usually the last people to know when any big decisions are made.
Our job is come in, train, play matches and keep ourselves fit and available for selection.
What happens in the board room should not really affect us.
From an outsiders point of view I can understand why the fans would be frustrated about the takeover but these things take time.
What I do know is that the spirit among the players is fantastic at the moment and we need to make sure that continues.
So long as we keep producing positive results on the field then I will be happy.
